Specialist Support for Children with Challenging Behaviour, Emotional Dysregulation, ADHD and ODD

Every child and family is different.

Some parents require intensive support and coaching. Others may already have a strong understanding of behavioural strategies and simply need specialist therapeutic support for their child.

For this reason, treatment recommendations are made following a comprehensive assessment and clinical formulation rather than a one-size-fits-all programme.

All families begin with a specialist assessment.

Step 1: Family Assessment & Clinical Treatment Plan

£450

Every family begins with a comprehensive parent assessment designed to understand the factors contributing to your child's difficulties and identify the most appropriate treatment pathway.

Includes:

✔ Comprehensive parent assessment

✔ Clinical formulation of your child's difficulties

✔ Identification of maintaining factors

✔ Personalised treatment plan

✔ Written recommendations

✔ Behavioural and emotional assessment

✔ Recommendations for home and school where appropriate

✔ Costed treatment pathway

Following assessment, you will receive a detailed treatment plan outlining recommended interventions, expected outcomes, and associated costs.

Parent Foundations Programme

The Parent Foundations Programme forms an important part of treatment for many families and is often recommended alongside child therapy.

The programme combines evidence-informed parent education with practical implementation support to help parents understand and respond more effectively to challenging behaviour.

Are you an overwhelmed parent struggling with your child's behaviour? Have you tried many different ways to change your child’s challenging behaviour without effect? Do the challenges appear just too big? Do you have a controlling child who challenges your authority? Do you often feel manipulated? Have you been on the receiving end of swearing, aggression and even violence? Many of today’s parents are overwhelmed, confused and at a loss with how best to respond to their child’s emotional ups and downs, especially when they are reactive, emotionally sensitive or even aggressive. Our individualised programmes have been developed and are led by one of our lead practitioners, Sacha, who, apart from being a child adolescent and family therapist, is the parent to a child with severe ADHD and Oppositional Defiant Disorder. As such, you will not only learn about strategies from research but also those based on real life experience.

Our parent sessions help you to develop transformative parenting skills. When a parent reaches out to us for care, we realize they are seeking a new way of relating to their child. They’re looking for parenting insights that will improve how they approach their child’s challenges and interests. Our individualised programmes recognise that the stress of parenting an intense child can be immense and  as such, they are highly practical with simple techniques that can be applied immediately and effectively in each home.

Families often come to us because their child:

  • Constantly argues or says "no" to requests.

  • Has frequent meltdowns, angry outbursts, or explosive reactions.

  • Struggles with ADHD, attention, organisation, or impulsivity.

  • Refuses to follow routines such as getting ready for school, homework, or bedtime.

  • Has difficulties at school due to behaviour, concentration, or emotional regulation.

  • Experiences friendship or social challenges.

  • Becomes easily frustrated when things do not go their way.

  • Is having a significant impact on family life and relationships.

We help parents:

  • Understand what is driving their child's behaviour.

  • Reduce conflict and power struggles.

  • Improve communication and cooperation.

  • Build positive parent-child relationships.

  • Develop practical, evidence-based strategies that work at home and school.

  • Feel more confident and supported in managing challenging situations.

1:1 training can be scheduled at a time that is convenient to you and your family. The cost is £150 per hour and includes regular support between sessions. Your individualised clinical plan will determine how many sessions are needed. Group training for 5-11 year olds takes place on Mondays from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and the 12 + group runs on Tuesdays at the same time. The cost is £60 per hour or £480 for the 8 week course.
